Going Cageless
Our project is to get rid of the wire cages at our shelter for over 600 unwanted and abused pets housed daily at the Humane Educational Society.
We are asking for support to help complete our transition to make our shelter a "cageless" environment where unwanted and abused animals will have only short stays while finding the perfect forever family" for them. This new "cageless" environment will not only make the animals more comfortable, safe and calm, but will attract more adopters and bring us closer to ending euthanasia in Hamilton County and complete our mission of "Getting to Zero™." Each room will feature glass block walls to allow natural light; Dutch glass doors for easy viewing; separate heating/air conditioning for each room; soothing music and the sound of water to help keep the animals in a peaceful, calm environment. We will also have flushable drains. These rooms will not only provide a wonderful environment for our animals, but will vastly improve the number of people coming to our shelter to adopt. Drop in to see our progress! Save lives and help us get to zero much faster!! If you would like to make a one time monetary donation, please click this button. Any amount sent, however, small or large, will be used directly to "Going Cageless!" Call 624-5302.Ext 221 to give over the phone or stop by from 8am-4pm Mon. through Sat. (open until 6pm on Thurs.) |
