Volunteer

Volunteers are a very important part of the Humane Educational Society team. Without your dedication of time and personal involvement, this organization could not save as many animals, educate the public, and raise funds, which are so vital to a non-profit organization.

Three words sum up the Humane Educational Society’s operating philosophy: respect, loyalty, and teamwork. Most volunteers are individuals who have visited or adopted from the Humane Educational Society, or are student interns. HES prefers volunteers to be at least 18 years of age, although exceptions are made with the approval of the individual’s parent or guardian.

After reading about our available opportunities and what they require, plan on completing a Volunteer Application and attending a Volunteer Orientation. For times and dates of Volunteer Orientations please call 423-5302 ext.228.
